513 Black Car Rental ("we") operates this website and our mobile app for Android and iPhone. This policy explains what we collect through both and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you submit our availability form, on the website or in the app, we collect your name, email, phone number, the city you drive in, whether you want to rent or rent-to-own, the vehicles you're interested in, your contact preferences, and any message you include. You may optionally upload a photo of your driver's license to speed up approval.

When you apply for rent-to-own, we also collect your home address, whether you already have insurance and whether you'd like a quote, when you want to start, and a photo of your driver's license, which is required for rent-to-own applications.

We do not collect payment information on the website or in the app.

Driver's-license uploads

If you upload your license, the image is stored in a private, access-restricted folder, used solely to verify rental or rent-to-own eligibility, never shared with third parties, and deleted on request or once verification is complete.

The mobile app

The app shows our fleet, driver earnings, and program details, and sends the same forms as the website. It doesn't require an account, doesn't show ads, and doesn't use analytics or tracking tools. It only reads a photo when you pick one to upload with your application, through your phone's own photo picker. It does not access your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your rental inquiry, to review your rent-to-own application, to notify you about vehicle availability if you asked us to, and to coordinate the rental process. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their marketing.

Text messages

We only send SMS if you explicitly opted in on one of our forms. You may receive messages about vehicle availability, your inquiry, or your rent-to-own application. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

Where it's stored

Inquiries and applications are stored in a private spreadsheet, a private file folder, and our email inbox, accessible only to 513 Black Car Rental staff. We use a few service providers to run the website and app: Vercel for hosting, Google for spreadsheets and file storage, and Resend for email delivery. They process your information only on our behalf.

How we protect it

Information you send through the website or the app is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to what we store is limited to our staff.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, manage your rental or rent-to-own agreement, and meet legal or insurance requirements. License photos are deleted once verification is complete.

Delete your data

Email info@513blackcarrental.com from the address you gave us, or include the phone number you used, and ask us to delete your information. We'll delete your inquiry, application, and license photo within 30 days, whether you sent them from the website or the app. We only keep what we're required to keep by law or for an active rental or rent-to-own agreement.

Children

Our services are for adult drivers. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
