The math, out in the open
What an average week looks like
Our current drivers average around $3,000 gross per week on Uber Black — airport work (every vehicle carries a CVG sticker) is a big part of that. Your fares flow through the Uber app, the weekly rental is deducted, and the rest is yours. Gas typically runs 10–15% of gross. Here's the honest math per vehicle:
| Vehicle | Avg weekly gross | Weekly rental | Gas (10–15%) | Your net |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cadillac Escalade ESV | $3,000 | −$1,400 | −$300 to −$450 | $1,150–$1,300 |
| Ford Expedition | $3,000 | −$1,260 | −$300 to −$450 | $1,290–$1,440 |
| Chevrolet Suburban | $3,000 | −$1,360 | −$300 to −$450 | $1,190–$1,340 |
Unlimited mileage and 100% covered maintenance are already included in the rental — no other fleet fees.
